Would love to see the ability to skip using your voice and the apple remote. Such as “skip 2 1/2 minutes”. Not sure if this is doable but would be great for skipping commercials during ongoing sporting events and intermissions.
Channels doesn’t use the native video player on Apple TV. All the kitschy Siri stuff works directly with the native video player. It’s not something developers have to implement.

I use a HomePod, but I can tell Siri to skip commercials or skip ahead (though not by a random amount, just by whatever I have Channels set to skip ahead to). It's quite handy.
