I’ve noticed on the recent updates that sometimes if I’m watching a show before it’s completed recording and the commercials are scanned I can’t skip forward but I can rewind.

I used the Apple TV to submit logs and there was a support email address so I emailed the two video files
This is a known issue and is being worked on. Thanks.
