Are we ever going to be able to choose what season to start recording?

I really don't have as many needs and wants as others around here, but some things to me seem so basic. I don't get why I have to dive into the server to choose what season to start recording on. The only two options in the app is new or all. If I'm a season behind on something, if I don't go to the server, I'm stuck deleting a bunch episodes I don't need or manually looking for episodes from the previous season and I'm guessing previous to the current episode it starts with.

Adding in, doing the manual thing, I'm stuck checking it every couple weeks to keep up with the updating guide data.

I don't often miss Tivo these days, but this is one feature I greatly miss. And I know it's been talked about before.

Thanks.

Wouldn't using the browser on your phone to visit the server and edit a pass for season logic be better than the manual way of looking for episodes? It takes like what 2 min?

The reality is that there is so many advanced options for Channels that it would be impossible to do it all with a TV remote and a streamer UI. (channel collections, smart rules, advanced passes etc) There has to be a demarc point somewhere between server and client UI.

Isn't it just one more option in a drop down with one more sub level for the season numbers?

And isn't this a typical option in other dvr's. This isn't a question of addressing every single option random individuals want. This is a basic feature of the most popular dvr ever. Giving basic features that tivo had isn't a bad thing especially if you're frequenting tivo forums and people are clinging to ways to keep their tivo experience going as the switch to iptv takes over cable.

And for some reason the server doesn't like loading in Chrome on my phone. And contrary to modern society, my phone isn't glued to my hip while at home. This is why my Garmin gives me alerts for things I deem important.
