i.e. not recording the virgin stream coming in, but manipulating it somehow.
I'm pretty sure you're changing timestamps in the transport stream when recording TVE, as I've seen evidence of that.
Reason for the question is I'm starting to see issues with recordings from my HDHR Prime on all Discovery channels now.

I'm running a test recording now using curl direct to my Prime that outputs to a .ts file to see.
curl http://x:5004/auto/v750?duration=3600 -o Discovery_Recording.ts

Txs, most likely an Xfinity encoder issue then.
I assume that means all HDHR tuner sources are recorded raw.

Are both TVE and locast timestamps re-written when recorded?

I'm trying to compare between recordings from CABLE-Prime, CABLE-TVE, CABLE-TiVo, etc.

May be a really strange coincidence that my manual recording from my Prime using curl had no issues, while my 9 Discovery Channels recordings using Channels DVR had issues?

I have a recording coming up where I can compare them.

Had to be issues with Xfinity or Discovery Network encoders.
Problem disappeared on recordings last night and today.
