I purchased a As5304t. I downloaded the server from Channels DVR site. I attempted to install Channels DVR. It gave a progress bar at 95% install, waited multiple minutes then errored out. The log file just says "Install App failed. (Ref. -154)". I tried restarting my laptop and restarting my NAS.
However; any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I dont know. I just got the NAS yesterday. Been using a laptop as a server. Im happy to get my laptop back.
Assuming I figure out how to ssh into it tonight. What do I need to do. Please explain a noob level. Thank you.
Ok. Anyone have any other suggestions. I ran software update. That did not help. I then uninstalled all other apps on the NAS.
I am out of ideas. I downloaded the ssh software for the nas. As you asked if I can ssh.
But I dont know what to do. Any help.

Edit: should I try installing the Linux version by ssh? Would that make it worse? I think their ADM Operating system is "mostly" Linux based
So far my only solution on NAS. Which I don't want to be a permanent solution is running it on Virtual box. So anyone gave any other ideas?
The manual Linux install will make a mess, don't do that.
It looks like the asustor install mostly worked because all the files are there. So just the last step must have failed. I will take a look at fixing this on Monday.
I appreciate it. Because I really do love yalls software. Combining philo, TV everywhere, locast, and antenna is so awesome.
But just as a heads up. It seems to be running ok on Virtual Box, 1 core, 4gb of ram. Granted I've only had it for a few hours. But in case anyone else ever needs to. I can't speak for running multi streams/recording. Saturday, not a lot of new content on live tv.
Also tmm1, being that I know your a developer, and there is not any illegal or personal content. Would it assist if I gave you temp remote access? If so p.m. me and ill set you a login.
