ATSC 3.0, Antenna, And HDHomeRun

Just use channel collections and you can place the channels wherever you like. The actual channel number is much less relavent now.

I agree with @slampman to just use channels collections. But if you really want to change them here is how. Custom channel, mpeg ts, text

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="4.1" channel-number="6000" tvg-name="WDAF",4.1 WDAF
http://ip.of.hdhr.not.server:5004/auto/v4.1

#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="9.1" channel-number="6001" tvg-name="KMBC",9.1 KMBC
http://ip.of.hdhr.not.server:5004/auto/v9.1

If you use low 6000’s disable experimental locals so the channels don’t overlap. The sample above is to change 5.1 and 9.1 to 6000 and 6001 with their real call signs.

Thank you btw!

Been using for a week to test out and record and noticed as time went on a see a ton of jitters/artifacts on recordings. Here's a 30 second clip from today's example:

From the logs I see the following:

Statistics for "TV/Jeopardy!/Jeopardy! S39E185 2023-05-26-1530.mpg": ss=72%,63%-88% snq=90%,0%-100% seq=94%,0%-100% bps=6206698,0-11899648 pps=531,0-1019 sigerr=8%

Thoughts?

Antenna signal strength was as low as 63%. Maybe try tweaking the antenna. I don’t think it has anything to do with changing the channel numbers.

Agreed, that's unrelated. Will check out adjusting the antenna to see if that helps, thanks!

Here is a good explation
