ATSC 3.0 Audio Issues

I'm having an issue with high pitch background noise on ATSC 3.0 channels through Channels DVR and my HDFX-4K. It seems most of the ATSC 3.0 channels have this issue (Houston area) using both the Default and Experimental driver on both my iPad and Apple TV running Channels Beta 7.21.2023. It's a fairly new issue within the past few weeks. When tuning the channels using the HDHR app, I don't get the same audio disturbances. Please let me know if you need more information, logs, or recordings. Thanks for any and all help!

I live in the New Orleans area and am running TVos 17 beta on all my Apple TVs and do not get a high-pitched sound on the 3.0 stations. Three of my ATVs are connected through eARC and one plays through the TV speakers.

@minarcia I have been having the same issues (Omaha market).

Does it take a long time for you to tune ATSC3 stations?

Android TV devices and Pixel 7 Pro here.

Thanks for the reply. It does take longer than ATSC 1.0 channels or channels on my Prime, but that has been consistent since I started getting ATSC 3.0 channels quite a while ago. The high pitch noise is somewhat new.

I realize that. How MUCH longer does it take the 3.0 stations take to tune compared to the 1.0 on average approx?

Can we get a tuner sample? How often is the high pitch issue occurring

The high pitch issue happens every time. I just submitted diagnostics from my onn 4K Google TV box. I swapped between ch103.1 and 142.1 2 times each.

Like continuously? Right after channel change? Every 10s? 30s?

It's continuous.

We've rolled back some of the ATSC3 changes to the last known good version. We'll continue to try to figure out what is wrong with the newer changes.

Thanks - I was out of town so couldn't get a tuner sample to you, so thanks @troyhough! It seems to be better here in Houston on 2023.08.09.2030.

It's a new android build v2023.08.12.1947 that was just released.

Good News: The squeak is now gone!

Bad News: It still takes 25-30 seconds to tune ATSC3 stations at times on the Gigabit LAN, Direct Play (No Transcoding):expressionless:

For fun I just cycled through my 3 ATSC3 stations using the HDHR app, then cycled through the same 3 stations using Channels DVR and here are my results:
