A Sinclair ATSC 3.0 station in Buffalo, NY is sending NRT IP data over the air, including news, sports, audio, and weather. Does Channels have any intention of releasing an update to the Channels For HDHomeRun app that can utilize this additional data, and display it in the app?

The Nextgen TV landscape in general is a complete mess right now with DRM, audio, and patent issues. It may take years to straighten out since it's all basically in the early beta stages now.
In the meantime, I'm sure a dev may come along and give you a good answer about this niche use happening in Buffalo, but in the meantime, just search this forum and the SiliconDust forum for "DRM" and you'll get a better idea of what I mean.
