ATSC 3 - Complain to the FCC to stop encryption

Number 1 in popular proceedings

Declaring the petition as being "on the docket" is confusing as there are no scheduled actions to be taken by FCC on the matter. So keep pushing

I'm convinced OTA in general will be gone in 5-10 years. The towers are expensive to operate and there is tons of bureaucracy to fight through. Why should they bother when they can stream over the 'net?

Yea it sucks for the consumer but the media cartels are going to do what's most profitable in the long run, and I suspect that long run will be over sooner rather than later.

At the rate streaming is lousing money, one must wonder what will be left. It's consolidation time!

The government will step in and bail everybody out. Actors will work for minimum wage and watching will be free. All that will be required is to sit through two hours of commercials in order to watch one hour program.

I think they are all full of BS. More like they are looking to loot our wallets to make up for "losses"

It gets worse... Once end to end encryption is in place you will not be play back recordings away from home since latency would pretty much always exceed 7ms.

I think some maniac is in charge of this all and is playing will all the knobs trying to figure out what they can get away with.
