I have the latest version of Channels on ATV and the DVR Beta is installed. Why can’t I access DVR functions via the ATV app?
What do you see in the ATV app?
What kind of system did you install the DVR on? Did you login to it’s web interface and setup your tuners?
On the Settings tab of the DVR software, is bonjour enabled? What does it say below the checkbox?
I don’t see anything new in the ATV app.
I’m testing it out on my MacBook. The tuners are setup, etc.
Bonjour is enabled. It reads: Advertising dvr-johns-macbook-air.local. via []
I could be wrong, but I think you also need to be using the latest version of the channels beta from test flight on apple tv.
Ok that’s the issue then. It should list an ip instead of showing []
Can you try unchecking and re-checking the box to see if an ip address shows up?
The testflight app is no longer required, as of today’s Public Beta release.
That did it! Thank you.
Will the passes and scheduled recordings transfer NAS’? I’ve ordered a MacMini to use as the DVR. I wanted to know if I setup the recording schedules ahead of time if it would transfer to a new device.
You would need to transfer the database files by hand but it should be possible.
Not sure why it shows 3 ip addresses. Any thoughts?
Send me output of “ifconfig -a” from your Mac

Looks like you have some virtual network cards setup.
Can you screenshot the Network settings on your Mac?
Thanks. I will ignore the extra IPs for the next version.
