ATV4 Weak Signal

Got a HDHomerun Prime with a Verizon Fios Cablecard and I get my channels fine thru the HD Homerun App but when I try to view them via the Channels App on a Apple TV 4 all I get is weak signal. I removed the spiltter and plugged it right into my FIOS box and same results. Rebooted everything many times...

I also have a HDHomerun Connect and it works fine thru the same Channels app

Attached the system log and tuner status - any ideas?

Can you try the free app InstaTV Pro on the Apple TV?

From the looks of the logs this is a problem on the hdhomerun side. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be getting the same with other apps.

Sounds like maybe my tuner 2 is not functioning right on the HDHomerun device

Correct, Channels uses the tuners in reverse order. I think the device had an internal splitter so perhaps the source signal is weak?

I’d recommend contacting [email protected] who will probably have a better idea of why the prime would hit “no video data” on tuner 2.
