The following changes listed in version 7.0.2 have created an issue with the ATSC3 audio:
• IMPROVED: ATSC3 audio support
• IMPROVED: handling of ATSC3 audio with signal reception issues
When playing ATSC3 (live or recorded), the audio now has a high frequency static noise. I'm not sure what is causing this, but it sounds like the upper frequencies on an equalizer are being maxed out.
ASTC1 and other audio/video formats do not have this problem. I'm in the TestFlight so I downgraded to the version before these ASTC3 audio changes and audio is clear again. I am able to reproduce this with Apple TV, iOS, and macOS.
