Audio dropouts with web player

I usually watch my recordings on my AppleTV, and it's been pretty flawless (y'all have made a great product here!).

Sometimes though I watch on my laptop, and I have problem with audio dropouts.

I'm on Windows 10, usually watching hockey recorded from TV Everywhere. Happens both on my home network and remotely via internet. Don't think it's a connection issue -- the video is fine, and when I rewind or even completely restart the audio dropouts stay in the exact same spot.

Anything I can try as far as transcoder/web player settings?

Thanks!

I would recommend submitting diagnostics from the web ui after this happens. Any errors shown in the logs?

Thanks. I submitted my diagnostics.

I don't see any errors in the log.

Ok. If you haven’t already, it would be good to try it with a different browser to see if you have the exact same issue. Sharing your browser details including versions would be helpful as well.

From what you described, it may be a glitch in the recording.

Do you experience the same audio dropouts in the same spots on the same recording when

  1. played back using VLC on the same Win 10 PC
  2. played back on your Apple TV

Different players handle audio/video glitches differently.

Is the Win 10 PC you're playing the recordings on also your Channels DVR server?
