Audio Issues with recordings (2 issues)

My server setup is as follows:

  1. Intel I5 2.5Ghz
  2. 16GB of RAM
  3. 2TB NVMe SSD for Live Recordings
  4. 8TB external HDD for storing recordings I want to keep
  5. 1G Ethernet Static IP
  6. Debian Linux 12.6
  7. HDHomerun HDFX-4 (Primary)
  8. HDHomerun Extend (Secondary)

Issues that I have been having for the past couple of months:

Most recent is when recording regular ATSC1.0 I will get video for a channel that is not supposed to record and the audio for the actual recording.
Example: If scheduled recording is on 4.1, I will get a picture from 4.3 but audio from 4.1 so then I have to wait until the next day to watch on Peacock, this defeats the purpose of channels DVR.

Older problem, If I am recording ATSC3.0, let's say 111.1 (KTTV Los Angeles) I get no audio at all. This just started a month or so ago. Nothing that I have tried worked. So, I took all recordings off of ATSC3.0 and now only record on ATSC1.0 Channels.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a tuner firmware issue. You should update and then contact [email protected] if there are still problems.

Thank you for your response. I already had the current firmware on both of my HDHR devices. So I have reached out with a tech support request to Silicon Dust.

Thanks

Well, had a conversation with Silicon Dust and they are saying that it is an issue with Channels. Now this is starting to go to finger pointing. So maybe there has to be some collaboration between Channels and Silicon dust.

There is no code on our side to tune into audio/video frequencies.

I guess you could try their dvr to see if it works. It should fail in the same way.

Does this happen on both tuners? Does it happen for both live and recorded content?
