I am having an odd issue this morning. Audio is out of sync with video while viewing TVE on Fire TV, Browser and Roku. Strangely, the issue is not present while viewing on my iPhone. There is no sync issue when watching recorded content or Locast channels. I have restarted the server, my devices, even the network with no effect. This smells like a problem with TVE itself except for the fact that the iPhone is able to cope with it so I thought I will call the issue out here.
Upgrading to 2020.01.27.0055 seems to have resolved the problem. A spot check of various channels show audio to be back in sync with the exception of CNBC but I have not found any other exceptions. Does whatever fix is in play have to address each channel individually?
Do you know what version you were running prior to upgrading?
When you were watching on the Fire TV were you streaming at Original quality?
I am not certain what version I was running before but I know I was on the regular release build -- seems the date was early in December.
With respect to how I was watching on Fire TV, my local setting is "Original".
The out of sync condition was the same across Fire, browser, and Roku (I know Roku isn't supported but including it just in case it is helpful). Maybe not so helpful is the fact that all channels I have tested are back to normal. Strange though, I can confirm that audio sync issues where not present for recorded content or Locast at the time of the event.
Your product is awesome, by the way. I have been trying to cut the cord for years but could never obtain the coveted WAF. We should be free of cable soon thanks to you guys. Thanks!
