Auth failed for Comcast_SSO: Cable provider authentication failed

I was having this exact same issue described here but I have Xfinity:

I tried removing Xfinity to fix the issue but got the problem described here:

I had two Xfinity accounts, one for internet and the other for TV. I made sure and turned off auto authentication.

Now when I go and try to log in, I get:
Cable provider authentication failed

I've read some places to change the Comcast password and I have a couple of times. I'm getting the same error on different computers on different networks.

You have to use your Xfinity TV (not Internet) account name and password in Channels DVR.

Are you able to login to a network live website like nbc.com/live (w/your Xfinity TV account name & password) and stream it?

Yeah I'm using my TV account and I was able to log into NBC.

And stream from there?

Try these TVE Troubleshooting steps

Yes just verified it.

Your local NBC station? https://www.nbc.com/live?brand=nbc

Yes again

Did you make it to step 13?

Ok I did a restore from before it was broken. I rescanned the channels and it is totally working. Thank you so much for helping out!

Not sure if this is your Xfinity package
