Authorization Code Page?

Hello,
I am a new user and have what is probably a basic question I couldn't find an answer to. Port 8089 is required to use this externally. It is also the port the admin settings page is served from. I tested getting there externally since internally there appears to be no authentication required to access it.

The served page is looking for an Athorization Code and offers a link to obtaining one.

Is this any sort of security risk? If not, can someone explain why it isn't?

You can try in an incognito browser window and see what happens.

Tried. Same page come sup, clicking get auth code asks for a login.

I think i see your point. the login page?

Yep only your dvr login let's you access your dvr
