Av1 errors

I get the following errors when playing av1 personal media in channels dvr. Note, my server is on an 14th gen i5 desktop running ubuntu 24.10 with an rtx2000 ada gpu.

The file plays fine on my windows 11 desktop in media player.

updated nvidia drivers but same error. Why would it say Your platform doesn't suppport hardware accelerated AV1 decoding when I have an ada nvidia gpu

Last I checked, channels still does not support AV1. But it is possible I missed an update

Except, I have android tv boxes not fire tv. I need the backend to transcode it.

Just saw the windows transcoder libraries were updated but my server is on linux (ubuntu 24.10) please update that aswell.

AV1 is not even supported (natively) on most streaming boxes. I can play AV1 1080p or lower, in Infuse Pro, on Apple TV 4K. But, 4K AV1, forget it. You get about 5fps.

The FireSticks 4K max and cube Support Av1.

  • AV1. Hardware accelerated up to 3840x2160p (4K) @ 60 fps, 100Mbps, Main Profile Level 5.1, Color space 8-bit and 10-bit input with HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG

Just updated and av1 works in the web ui and on android tv (dtv ospray). thanks
