I've noticed an issue when I'm playing dvr recordings away from home. When you click to watch the recording it immediately pops up the play next icon. You can click the back button to dismiss it but it shouldn't be popping up at the beginning of playback. It also prevents fast forward and rewind for some reason. I only have android devices to test with but have verified it happens on mobile, Android TV, and Fire TV.
