Backup labels - rules - virtual channels

So, I'm thinking of setting up virtual channels. I have a very complex system for doing it now and trying to simplify. I have some channels that mix different episodes of different shows. I was thinking of adding labels to each episode so I could use a smart rule to create the channels. My questions:

  1. Is there a way to back up the labels on each episode in case I need to move to a new server?
  2. Is there a better way to do this?

I use a trakt.tv list for import with my current method.

Channels takes regular automatic backups of its databases. They are saved in the DVR storage location alongside your recordings.
