Could not find this topic so trying anew. Fairly fast, rubust Mac Mini/AppleTV/HDFX-4K setup with great performance and few issues EXCEPT: for recorded content from any source, around 30% of the time I am getting unsynchronized audio, IOW, the lips are out of phase with the audio by 1/2 a second or so. Sometimes, this can be corrected by backing out of the recording and restarting, but more often... not. Any advice where I should start looking or which buttons/check-boxes to twiddle? Thanks!
First, from your Apple TV client, go to support and test the speed to the server and report the results
Thanks. "From my Apple TV Client..." you mean, test my internet speed up or down to the internet, or to this particular server...? Little more info please, treat me like I'm dumb lol
On your Apple TV in the Channels Client. Find the support menu and in there you will see "Test speed to server"
18.1ms Down is 469mps Up is 351.6mps
Please take a photo of what you see and post it
Your network looks fine. Try experimenting with hardware v software encoding on your Apple TV Channels client. The apple client is a bit different than the windows client you use so you will have to look around for that.
Good luck,
Morris
I appreciate your looking. Before I got your response, I had switched my wireless connection from one extender to another, and these test results are from the recent connection, so I may have been getting latency at that time. I watched a long taped movie last night and there were no issues, so I am hoping it was that. Thanks again.
