Banner display time?

Is it possible to shorten the banner display time when changing channels? The banner hovers around 5-6 seconds. When jumping between sports events, the banner covers the score on the bottom of the screen, and I have to wait until it disappears to see the score.

Is there an option to shorten the banner display to 1 or 2 second's?

Probably would help if you could say which client you see this on and how you're changing between Live channels when it happens.

I’m on Apple TV. Watching live TV

Regardless of whether I’m channel surfing, selecting a new live channels via the guide or changing channel via the quick guide option-

  • the banner with the timeline hovers around 5-6 seconds.

Back when I used to waste too much money on DirecTV, it did have an option to adjust the banner time , to as low a 2 seconds. It was a nice option

The only "client" I use is iOS, when I travel.
Banner stays up for about 3 seconds.
If there's a setting to change that, I don't know where it is.

For what it’s worth, on tvOS, tapping the touchpad on the Siri Remote, hides the banner immediately.

And tapping the video player screen in iOS dismisses it.

I’m using a sofabaton x2 remote, which is great for many reasons . But no tappable interface to duplicate these

I wish we could hide it completely as it sometimes covers the Captions.

Hello tmm1
I turned off in playback settings per your recommendation but the timeline banner still hovers for 5-6 seconds when watching live TV

Hoping for an engagement where the time for the timeline banner hover time can be adjusted down to as low as one second, or even turned off per Edwin’s comment

Thanks

Press Down on the remote to dismiss the timeline.
