BBC America TVE clipped recording and random stops

We’ve had two quirky things happen with BBC America this week. One is while watching the live stream the Channels DVR playback just stopped and froze, like it was paused, but no action was happening on the progress bar. We had to exit out to the guide and come back into the channel to get the stream to start again. The other issue is that one of our recordings just says that it couldn’t record the whole thing and it started late but we don’t know why and I don’t know where to go to figure out what happened. Any thoughts?

Sounds like there was a problem getting the stream. The stalling while playing is usually an indicator that the network's server stopped responding, and failed to send the stream. The issue with the recording is similar, indicating that when Channels tried to start the stream for the recording the network's website did not immediately send the stream.

Unfortunately, there really isn't anything that Channels can do about that, since the problem is from the network's website and not the application.

You can check the DVR server logs to see if any errors were logged at the time of the issue.

Where do I find the server logs? Is it in the web interface for the DVR or do I need to hunt around in /var/log etc type places?
