Beelink Mini PC failed

Continuing the discussion from Beelink N100 w/Win 11 Black Friday $159:

Might be a good option. My Beelink just went dead.

If it won’t turn on it might be the power supply. My dad had his Beelink not power up and Beelink promptly sent him a new one and it fired right up.

Interestingly, I have another unit here that’s identical and I swapped power supplies. Same problem.

So are you saying don't buy one?
Is yours out of warranty (One year, I think)?

Curious, why did it "go dead"?

I do not know why it just failed out of the blue. It was bought to run Channels in 6/23. I have not dissected it yet. It just went dark and has stayed that way despite power supply swap, plugging and unplugging - the simple stuff.

I will get a chance next week to take it apart. I have a clone of it to steal from my kid to us to debug this one.

Probably failed because it's 5 months out of warranty :smirk:
J.K.

We have a winner!

Ha Ha Ha.
So TRUE!!
:+1:

I’d surmise this is the reason.

Ouch!
The magic electrical smoke that makes it work escaped.

WOW, I wonder what would cause that.

Crappy part? Been running since last June. I guess it’s not a server.

Since that appears to be the WiFi card, it begs the question of whether you were connected to your LAN via Ethernet or WiFi?

Ethernet

Out of warranty... BUT, if I were you I'd send these pictures to Customer Support
and ask if they can replace the unit since this seems like an unusual / dangerous failure.
Maybe they'd want you to ship it back to them!!
Worth a shot.

Did that already. Got the first level nonsense response back already. I’ll post up how they respond.
