As the title states, I’m looking for feedback on the best way to add a new storage location to Channels DVR whilst relocating some of my video files. I have both recorded and imported video content that will end up being moved and want to ensure I don’t somehow break channels and it’s ability to play back said content.
You would have to go incredibly out of your way to screw something up so it couldn't play, so don't worry! Just attach your new storage, add the paths to Channels, and then move your files. All will be a-okay, I promise.
Here's mine as an example:
Just use an attached/mounted drive, don't try to do this over a network. And remember that if you move imported videos that you will also want prune deleted so that you do not have the old locations still listed.
