The android community thanks you for caving into our demands! Bwahaha.
I'm seeing a bug on Android since this beta (v2022.03.18.2327) and also present in the latest beta (v2022.03.19.1154): with any custom channel collection selected in the client guide which is not using Automatic Channels (by leaving all its fields blank/unchecked in the Web UI), all other channels are appended to the collection's lineup. This does not happen on iOS (latest TestFlight). The built-in Favorites channel collection works correctly though.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong.
Verson: 2022.03.19.0040
Client: Android S10
I have tried selecting Everything, TV Shows, Movies. I have tried leaving catagories blank. I have tried selecting every catagory.
But every time I go to Guide and select catagory I get "No f2462d61-1f6a-4632-85f4-b16596dad08f No Channels are currently playing anything in this catagory. Try another one" or other similar error codes.
Its not letting me submit logs
"2022/03/19 22:32:36.494767 [ERR] Diagnostics submission failed: Put "https://s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/diagnostics.channelsdvr.cloud/61aea254-69fb-478c-80ce-d71c07cacb5a/dvr.files?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIA5BWMCXPFMBVC3OPV%2F20220320%2Fus-west-2%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20220320T023214Z&X-Amz-Expires=900&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=content-encoding%3Bcontent-type%3Bhost&X-Amz-Signature=77dbf375d49c0a321b174623a9007b40353d9c4bebbc370c31ea23d7348c80e2": context deadline exceeded (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)"
Any luck with latest beta app
Still seeing the same issue in v2022.03.20.0536.

I've found in the Android TV beta app Automatic Channels Collections doesn't work when HD is checked. I get the following error. When I remove the HD check box then associated channels appear. No error.
Im getting the same error regardless is "HD" is checked.
@tmm1
I restarted server. Everytime i try to submit logs I get
2022/03/20 18:12:01.988254 [ERR] Diagnostics submission failed: Put "https://s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/diagnostics.channelsdvr.cloud/3b0e83c7-6ac8-4a1f-a4ea-24d2b62b52a6/dvr.files?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIA5BWMCXPFMBVC3OPV%2F20220320%2Fus-west-2%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20220320T221138Z&X-Amz-Expires=900&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=content-encoding%3Bcontent-type%3Bhost&X-Amz-Signature=1e8041777277fceb9e20e44e2d99142da0d73da4c9b8fd121533a756e0542b66": context deadline exceeded (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)
Also no matter what I do on smart channel collections I am unable to get any guide data using smart collection. No matter if I allow all sources or exclude sources, regardless if I check HD, NEW or Closed caption. I have tried selecting categories and leaving categories blank, I have also attempted to movies, tv and everything.
But I am more concerned about not being able to submit logs.
No VPN is running
Seems like some issue on your network preventing the DVR from being able to talk to AWS west S3 servers.
This should be fixed now in the new apk beta.
I wasn't able to repro this with the latest fixes so I think its fixed too.
The latest Android TV Beta fixed the HD check box issue for Automatic Channels. Thank you!
I haven't changed any network settings lately. Not running a vpn.
Is there something specific i should check or try. I've never had issues submitting diagnostic reports before.
Ill puts around with it later.
But not communicating with AWS shouldn't prevent automatic channels collections, i think. Any pointers on where to start looking for problem?
I'm still seeing this bug on the latest Android beta v2022.03.21.1949.
For example, in this "ComedyTest" channel collection, there should only be eight channels shown, but instead, all channels are appended, starting with channel 4.1:
Client Diagnostics ("Guide Data"): 3129b842-d4cf-443d-a08c-fbb13fa4eba0
Server Diagnostics: bffd6329-5623-4f1d-a341-7a57d6f186a4
Any errors shown on the same Troubleshooting page?
Have you tried using a different DNS for your DVR server, e.g., Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1
or your ISP's default DNS (recommended for TVE)?
Have you double-checked your firewall settings?
Thanks. Fixed in next build.
Thus far things I have done
-Reset my router to factory default.
-Reset network settings on NAS that has ChannelsDVR
-Updated to latest pre-release
-Restart ChannelsDVR software
-Restart NAS
-Switched from ISP provided DNS to OpenDNS
I still cant submit diagnostics. All features on ChannelsDVR seem to work except no Automatic Channels Collections and No ability to submit diadnostics.
My recordings are fine. My tv guide works fine. Playback of content is fine.
Shy of deleting and restoring my channels server I am out of ideas. @tmm1 any ideas or pointers?
Should I copy and paste log data and email it to you?
When I scan my logs the only errors I see are the occasion error with TVE content. My ISP is not the "most" reliable signal.
Do you think my inability to submit logs and automatic channels collections are the same issue?
v2022.03.22.0106 NEW: Support for Library Collections FIXED: Channel collections were listing all channels when there were no automatic settings
Confirmed fixed, thank you!
Woah, and Library Collections on Android!! Awesome!!
I know a lot of tags from pluto and other free sources tend to be a mess but is there a way to have music as a genre option for automatic channel collections? Music channels from iHeartRadio, Stingray, Quest and Vevo tend to come and go so you end up with many "this channel no longer exists" messages when you add them manually. Additionally, they add seasonal music channels for summer, Halloween, and Christmas that would benefit from automatic addition to the group when they "go live."
Will add Music for next build
