tl;dr

  • We're now building Channels against the latest tvOS/iOS 18 SDKs.
  • The new minimum version of tvOS/iOS for Channels is now tvOS/iOS 16.6

On to the Future

So we're now building on the latest SDK along with a new minimum version of tvOS/iOS. While the app is running just fine on tvOS/iOS 18, as we've seen, building against the newest SDK can change things.

So far, things seem fine, but if you see something you've never seen before, please report it on this thread.

If things seem to just be fine, this short period of a beta will end soon and we'll just go back to pushing out updates as usual.

So, where is this setting and what icons does it apply to?

Pretty sure this refers to the app's icon on the Home Screen.

Ah, thanks. I thought it was about the Home Screen icon, but thought maybe it was a setting within the app to change somewhere like in Plex.

Ugh! Thought this meant something different

But guess you're correct. They're just adjusting to the new iOS v18 :disappointed:
Oh well, one can only hope.
