SD forum users are reporting:

There haven’t been any reports re: Prime
Don’t know if it’s software or firmware, as the tuner firmware was updated within the latest install pkg.
Looks like they released 20160901beta3 which might fix this issue.

Thanks to Aman for the update.
Since my daughter is gong to upgrade her Mac View App and it will upgrade her Firmware I decided to byte the bullet and make sure it is ok. So far I have no issues with Channels and the beta3 version Aman mentioned.
