I'm watching Channels on my Google TV and am having trouble with some shows on my Virtual Channels. They play audio but no video. I presume it's a codec issue, but they are pretty standardly encoded and play fine in Plex. Other than re-encoding and losing quality due to recompression, does anyone know what to do?
What is the codec?
I knew you'd ask that.
GSpot says this particular example is H.264/MPEG-4 AVC
Any thoughts?
I need the technical details from the View Details screen in the dvr web UI for that video
And diagnostics submitted from the app immediately after playback
I had this on an older file.
Run these files through handbrake and the new file will work
Example View Details screenshot:
That does work, but when you do, you lose quality due to recompression. They are not all that great to begin with, so I'd hate to make them worse. They play fine in Plex and everything else, so I might think Channels could somehow improve their basic codec support.

Thanks. Can you submit diagnostics from the Channels app after trying to play that video.
Thanks, but I don't care anymore. Too much trouble.
We literally added the codec based on your request.
You can’t just try it to see if it solved the issue that you opened?
