Both CDVR and Tivimate clients - can we get recordings to play nice?

Per the title, most all my devices use the Channels DVR client for all their needs, but a couple of my TVs also use Tivimate for better PIP handling (for me at least) and multiview when I'm watching several sporting events at the same time. I have my Tivimate clients going to a SMB share, and even if I use the same directory as the Channels DVR recordings then Channels doesn't see it, and vice versa.

Anyone have any ideas how to get these things to manage recordings from both sources?

What does this mean?

Is Tivimate making recordings? If so, other software is not allowed to put recordings in the Channels folders. But you can put them in the Imports/ directory.

Usually CDVR, but yeah, sometimes TM. For now I added a Videos folder to it, but I will look into an imports folder.

Okay, so I read up on the imports folder. Looks like it is designed for stream links. If I put files in there, like recordings from TM, they'll show up in the CDVR library and can be watched, deleted, etc?

Where do you see it being designed for stream links? There may be something we can improve in our documentation.

If you want to read more about imports and your personal content, you can read about it here:

First result I got from my search....

I did read the link you posted, and I can totally see how I'd set folders from my other existing media libraries for TV shows and movies - but I don't see the connection in your link and the imports folder, and the other emphasizes stream links. So yeah, I may be dense, but otherwise it seems the doc may need some clarification.
