Bottom status progress bar problems

In the last week or two I’ve noticed some new issues with the bottom bar.

Issue 1 - The bar is not disappearing automatically. When I start a recording from the recently recorded area for example, the bottom bar never goes away. The only way to make it go away is to tap on the touch surface of the ATV remote. Additionally if I pause the recording and then press play again this same thing happens. Very annoying!

Issue 2 - Current play location cursor isn’t updating. When the issue above is happening, the play cursor stays at 0 minutes. Also, when I press pause or skip commercials I can see the location is incorrect. When skipping commercials I can see the cursor skip from the wrong location up to where it should be and then again jump to the new location where the commercials ended.

What version number is the app?

Version 3.1.15

I sent you a beta version to try. Does it have the same issue?

Do you see the issue on every single recording, or only on some of them?

It doesn’t seem to happen in the beta version. In the other version it was happening in all recordings I tried.

I can confirm that I am experiencing exactly the same behavior, also with version 3.1.15. Additionally, when “Issue 2” occurs as reported by the OP, I can no longer jump forward or backwards (30/7 seconds respectively), pressing forward or backwards on the remote simply pauses playback, however scrubbing does still function properly albeit starting from wrong location initially.

@lucidity This thread was regarding issues in recording playback. Are you seeing the same thing in recordings or in live tv? Is it happening for every recording/channel?

I guess my issue is with live tv, however the symptoms are identical. I cannot say with confidence that it happens with EVERY channel, as I’ve only watched one channel since this version was released, but it has happened every time I watch live TV. It doesn’t seem to start right after live TV is started; I can usually skip forward or backwards a couple times before it starts to happen. Once this behavior begins, it continues until I force-close the app and restart it.

I will try the beta and report back whether it resolves the problem.

Yeah I have had that same issue, couldn’t skip forwards or backwards. I can’t remember if it happened every time I saw issue 2 or not.
