I posted this topic about weird thumbnail caching last week because MSNBC always displayed an Iron Chef thumbnail on my iPad. Today I discovered the reason why that is happening, and it appears to be a bug.
My HDHR Prime/Frontier Fios has MSNBC on channel 603:
But Pluto has Iron Chef mapped on 603 as well:
The resulting offspring is an abomination with the MSNBC logo but the Iron Chef thumbnail and name:
On Pluto. Try changing it to Ignore Channel Numbers from M3U.
See if that helps.
In the past i had a virtual channel and a pluto channel overlap. Drove me crazy.
I dont remember how i fixed it. This might be how. Im going off memory.
If that doesn't work. Maybe block the iron chef channel as a temporary fix.
Thanks for the suggestion, @Jay1987. I didn't know there was an Ignore Channel Number option. I will give that a try and see if that helps.
Yep, that fixed it! Selecting that option bumped all of the Pluto channel numbers into the 9000 range, completely separating them from Frontier Fios channel numbers. Thanks for the suggestion!
