Bug: Pressing Menu on Grid Guide while watching video changes focus selection to different channel

Hard to put this into words, but my wife noticed recently that while watching a program and backing out to the grid guide (by hitting menu) the currently watched channel is no longer highlighted.

For example, if we’re watching the news on channel 704 at 7pm and hit menu, I’m returned to the guide, but a different channel at a future time is highlighted (in this case it’s PBS at 11pm).

It throws off your sense of “location” within the guide. Not sure when you guys introduced the fast scrolling (with the vertical bar on the right), but my guess is that it has something to do with that.

Yep, just installed the beta update (2.9.54) and confirming that I still see the bug.

Thanks will look into the bug. I think I’ve seen this too.

I’m curious about the “fast scrolling” thing you’re talking about, because we haven’t made any changes. I know the recently released tvOS beta has something like that. Do you have that installed?

Aha! That must be it. I installed the tvOS beta a couple of weeks ago and must not have noticed.

Regarding the bug, though, it’s definitely fairly recent–didn’t notice it until yesterday.
