Bug Report: App crash on shortcut (F1-F4) use

Client: Nvidia Shield (v9.2)
Channels Client: not sure, most recent stable version
Channels Server: Synology v1.1.0
Channels client app is set to tune to a specific OTA (HDHomerun) channel on startup/resume.

Steps to recreate:

  • Open Channels on client
  • Wait a couple seconds for it to tune to the startup channel
  • While the play bar banner is still showing, press any of the Shortcut keys (F1-F4)
  • Channels will lock up then crash back to the Android home screen a few seconds later

What device are you using to send the F1 key?

I use a FLIRC with an IR remote and I use TVQuickActionsPro to translate the IR to the Function keys.

Hey, maybe it's TVQuickActionsPro causing the issue...?

Isn't it usually the FLIRC's job to convert IR into keys?

It is, but when I tried to use the "Full Keyboard" layout in FLIRC, CDVR for some reason wouldn't recognize the function keys. No idea why.
