Bug Report?: Sluggish guide scrolling on Apple TV

I have Channels DVR set up on a Mac Mini, and almost everything is running smoothly. However, I’ve noticed when I’m on the Apple TV, if I’m scrolling through the guide from left to right I can move forward only a few hours, then it reaches the end of valid data, freezes for a couple of seconds, and then it takes about 10 second or so before the next few hours of guide data load. It is very frustrating, and took me over 30 minutes to get to the last entries in the guide. Is there any way this can be sped up? Thanks.

Yes improvements are planned to the guide performance during the beta.

@karlmitchell Heya, can I ask why you were trying to scroll all the way to end of the guide like that? Were you just testing it out and puttting it through its paces, or were you looking for something specific?

It was more than I was looking for something non-specific. :slight_smile: When I’m setting up shows to record, it’s convenient to just flick through the guide and see what’s on, rather than deciding what shows I want to record by name.

I’m still seeing this as well (also running on a Mac Mini). I thought it was fixed in one of the alpha updates but I’m continuing to see a similar sluggish interface.

Everytime it hangs like that, its fetching more guide data from the server. That’s what’s causing the hang. We’ll get it more efficient.
