When using button rows, native or within personal sections, it’s a convenient way to jump between sections. However, it’s very easy to get 3-4 selections deep and make the left menu seem as if it’s completely gone, only being able to retrieve it by mashing the menu or back button.
Button rows would be a great feature for total layout customization if it wasn’t for this.
The sidebar navigation is only available at the root of each section. This is a core design, not exclusive to how Personal Sections work, and will not change.
When creating a button to open a section, it navigates deeper into the section you are currently on. This is normal behavior, and again, there’s no plans to change it.
