Hi All - the support documentation is pretty light on using a cableCARD HDHR. My cableCARD arrives Thursday, but I have the HDHR Prime and a Brand New Channel Server install on a Sinology NAS. As I recall from my old Windows MediaCenter and TiVo days, I need to pair the cableCARD activate it with Comcast. Are there any instructions on how to do this?

The setup guide just says that Channels Server will "discover" the HDHR but says nothing about the pairing process. Maybe it's really obvious once I plug that card in, but if not, I don't want to be impatiently waiting for a forum response when I'm ready to light up my new DVR :slight_smile:

You will have to call xfinity and tell them the pairing info shown on the HDHR web UI in the cablecard menu. Then channel scan on the web UI, and finally launch Channels.

Ah that was the missing piece. I didn’t realize the HDHR had a web interface. I was expecting that info to be displayed in the channels server UX. There was literally nothing in the box with the HDHR - no setup guide, etc. so I didn’t think to approach it from that angle. Thank you!
