I lose my internet connection quite a bit. I have streaming services so I can’t watch them when it goes out. That’s when I go to my recorded content. Problem is when I go to the recordings tab and my internet connection is down, it’s just a bunch of grey boxes if I highlight one it tells me the season and episode but not what the show is. I have to deduce what it might be. Is there the possibility to cache the show logos so if your not connected to the internet you can still find what you want to watch?
Which device are you using to watch?
AppleTV and synology ds218+
I know you guys are busy, just checking in. I watch on an appleTV the version just prior to the 4K. DVR is on a synology ds218+
The Apple TV is supposed to cache images already. I guess it's not working correctly.
Long term I agree it makes sense to cache images more aggressively on the DVR server itself. That's a bigger change and will require some work.
