If I call up the Guide while watching a channel and I ultimately decide to not to change the channel, the buffer has been lost when I return to the live video. Is there a way to avoid this from happening, or can this be fixed in a future release?
The best way to browse other channels while watching is to add channels to your favorites and swipe down inside the video player.
I agree that swiping down is good for browsing other channels while watching, but I’m envisioning a scenario where I’m watching live TV and then I decide to search for a show either through the program guide or the search function. I then set the DVR to record the episode (or perhaps set up a Pass) and then return to viewing the live channel again, but the buffer is now empty, so I missed some of my program since there is no audio and/or video playing when not viewing live TV.
