I don't mind Commercial Detection but it can cause a performance problem when I'm recording multiple programs. Is there a way to delay detection until the system is more quiesced?
Thanks!

You might want to put that in as a feature request. At the moment the best you can do is reduce the number of threads used.
I run with a N100 Windows mini PC with storage on a NAS. It even runs a Hyper-V VM with my network management on it. I've had as many as 3 simultaneous recordings happening while comskip was running and have it set for 3 threads with low end processor that has 4 and while the interface is a little slower, everything runs fine. Possibly your drive is the bottleneck. It that's the case, reducing the number of threads might not help.
