Can DVR\Images folder be cleaned out

I have over 7,000 files taking up 3.5GB of disk space in the DVR\Images folder. The earliest of these files date back a year to when I started using Channels. The DVR Server software apparently does not clean out this folder. I would like to recover the disk space, can I clean this folder out manually

If you’re concerned about 3.5gb on a drive that is being used to record things at a rate of up to 6gb per hour, you should look into upgrading to a larger capacity drive.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm more concerned with a folder that appears to accumulate long term. No problem if I can just clean it out every year.

Most of the space taken up there is most likely by the Images/tmsimg folder.
That holds cached images for your channel logos, TV show and movie artwork.
That speeds up display in the clients and keeps Channels DVR from having to retrieve those images from the internet servers each time they're needed. That helps your clients and reduces bandwidth load on the Fancy Bits servers.

The images in the Image folder itself are mostly preview images of each of your recordings.

It does, based on what's being used and not.

Delete things all you want, but you’re going to get a worse experience.
