Can I use Channels with only an antenna?

I just want the Channels guide. I disconnected my HDhomerun.
Thanks!

The HDHomeRun device has the tuners. Without the tuners, how can you receive anything?

If all you want is a guide of some type, there’s zap2it and any number of other on-line TV guides.

Not clear what you’re trying to accomplish, here.

My Sony tv has a tuner. That’s the one I want to use, and only use the Channels app as my TV guide.

Per the Channels website: Channels exclusively supports HDHomeRun network TV tuners. These tuners broadcast your television signal across your home network. Channels uses these to let you watch TV in any room of your home.

Channels’ app gets it program guide data from Silicon Dust if you’re not using the Channels DVR. Even were it possible to do so w/o having an associated SD tuner, I doubt SD would be particularly interested in sending guide data to non-customers for no charge.

TL;DR: I don’t think so.

It’s not possible to use Channels for guide only, because the guide data is tied to the hdhomerun device.
