Can’t add OTA stations to channel collections using HDHr Dual

Had to temporarily put an old HDHr Dual back into service. OTA stations appear and are selectable to add to channel collections but do not show in the guides. Easy fix or just a quirk of the Dual?

In your client settings go to manage sources and make sure the old new tuner is enabled.

I'm pretty sure on the older HDHR tuners you need to use the Windows program to do a channel scan which uploads the results to Silicon Dust instead of storing them in the tuner.

Then make sure you add the device to Channels DVR and select the guide provider by entering your zipcode.

Still can’t get channel collections to pull OTA stations. Frustrating but as it’s temporary, I’m going to accept it as a shortcoming of the older HDHr Dual and move on. Not worth chasing as it will be replaced. Thanks for your input.

Can you address the HDHomeRun via it's direct IP login? You might be able to update the firmware and the channels on the HDHomeRun directly and see if ChDVR can "talk to it" after that ...
