Can’t connect to server until reset connection

I almost daily have to go into my pc and reset the Channels server application and the WiFi connection to my network to get the AppleTV side app to be able to connect. And then it works fine for the rest of the day. My server is running Windows 10.
This isn’t a problem with Plex so I don’t think it’s a network issue. And since it works after the reset I don’t think it’s a firewall issue.
Any ideas?

It sounds like your server is using WiFi to connect to your network. Have you configured a static IP for the WiFi interface on your Windows computer?

As an aside, I hope you are not browsing the web using that Windows 10 computer as that's a huge security risk and when it goes bad it will make this problem seem minor. I also hope you are backing up your computer.

Yes over WiFi. I have not tried static IP. Is that required? I wouldn’t think it should be. @tmm1 is this a requirement?

Yes, you need to use a static IP as this is how your clients find the server

Actually, a DHCP reservation in your router is sufficient, and is easier to keep track of and manage.
