It has an app with login and choice of area and a web stream that no password needed. my m3u8 file does not do a good job it stops onece in a wile and the it continues.
Which m3u8 are you using? I am not having any trouble.
It was failing about a month ago but @tmm1 fixed it.

Tested with all downloads app and server just now and now I lose sound and stops sometimes but mostly sound. I am playing side by side with VLC and VLC had no errors. I will send log from server.

I use the News 12 NJ m3u custom link like you and I also get the same loss of audio for a few seconds every minute or so. This does not happen for me with VLC, Chrome or the News 12 website. So I think it's a bug in Channels.
You are correct I tried them all and only in channels I have the loss of audio. It sucks since the video quality is good. It might have something to do with the m3u8 file in the link that has auto selection of resolution and audio. I won't even play nice in Emby it uses a low resolution and it's unwatchable.

Someone else posted awhile ago about random freezing with this, which I wasn't having at the time, but now am experiencing.
Digging up this grave .. Anyone have a current solution for localized News12? I have the general "new york" news12 feed but would like to have a working news12 long island if possible. The link mentioned earlier in this thread works but then freezes after about 15 seconds of playback. I've tried to mine my own m3u8 links from logging in to their website but they get 404s when opening from anywhere else.
