What is the process like for canceling and re-subscribing to the DVR service? I only need to record from my HDHR once in a while when I can’t watch a game live (I use other streaming apps for most content), so $8/month is way too much for how much I’ll use it. Will I be able to subscribe initially and get the DVR setup, cancel when I’m not using it, then re-subscribe for the month when I need it? If not, I’m afraid I can’t justify the cost, even though I’d love to have a more reliable DVR solution. I would just have to live without it if it’s not simple to cancel and re-subscribe as necessary.
I think this is why an annual or lifetime subscription, and/or lower monthly pricing is warranted. I’m guessing there are plenty of people who are in a similar situation as I am - only needing to record OTA/Cable on a limited basis. With all of the streaming options available (Kodi, WatchESPN, Netflix, etc.) and the fact that with OTA/Basic Cable you only get a small subset of the available shows anyway, a DVR just isn’t needed that often by many cord-cutters.
