The NAS IP is a reserved IP issued by the router’s DHCP server.
How about the docker network? Is it bridged to the NAS network or NAT routed?
What is the IP of the NAS and the IP your router reports of your Channels DVR?
Yes, Docker is connected to the local network, and all devices are on the same network (192.168.1.x)
I appreciate the help but the questions are starting to get repetitive.
You did not answer the network mask question. If they are different then the hosts are on different networks.
Also how is docker connected to the local network? It can be done two ways, Bridged or Routed.
The devil is in the details. If something were not wrong then you would have no problem.
If you're running Channels DVR in a docker container, it needs to use host networking mode, not bridge.
Otherwise your Channels clients won't be able to connect to the Channels DVR Server.
Thank you!
Feeling like a complete idiot now.
During the setup in docker, it had defaulted to Bridge - and I hadn’t noticed. And since everything else was working as expected, I didn’t even think to look there.
Thanks again! Also to @Morris_Altman who almost got me there
Morris was the first to mention docker. The first post made it sound like you had installed our Synology package.
