Cannot find DVR server

My Sony Bravia updated its firmware and now my Channels DVR app can no longer find the DVR server either automatically or manually. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, I have even gone as far as doing a complete reset on the tv and starting all over. The server app says “Network Server Active” and gives the 192.168.1.64:8089 IP address, but no joy on the DVR app finding the server. All my equipment shows IP addresses in the 192.168.1.xx range. Not sure what I’m going wrong. Submitted a diagnostic file. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Are you using the Sony as your server, or your Synology? If your DVR is running on your Synology NAS then you should not install the Server app.

Just using the Sony as the server, I do not have a Synology. Just the TV and a Homerun. With a 120gb USB stick in the Sony TV.

Did you finish setting up the DVR on http://192.168.1.64:8089

Not sure how to do that, system has been working for a couple years, perhaps there’s a step I missed. Can you point me to instructions to “finish setting up the DVR”. Sorry to not be more familiar with the system, up to now it’s just worked.

Can you screenshot what you see on that page? Does it show your HDHomeRun? Does it have guide data associated with it?

I'm not seeing any Sony DVR on your account. Only a Synology DS920+

Sorry, but I’ve never had a Synology device, only my Sony Bravia. Not sure what page you would like to see a screen shot of. My Sony does see the HDHomeRun as that is what it uses for a tuner. Not sure what’s up with what you have for my account.

This link is the page I'm referring to: http://192.168.1.64:8089/

Okay, thanks for trying to assist. I couldn’t figure out how to access the DVR setup page on my Android TV so I gave up and loaded the DVR server on a windows pc on my network and got everything running that way. All is okay now
