Cannot Rewind or Fast Forward using iOS Remote app

I can skip forward and back using the dedicated “10” buttons. But tapping and holding on the left or right edges of the touchpad area only does a pause or unpause instead of rewind or fast forward.

Admittedly, I haven’t used the iOS Remote app a whole lot in the past, so not sure if this ever actually worked? Or maybe this is a new issue with the Remote app redesign in iOS 15?

Can you post a link to that app? I can't find it.

It's just the Remote app that's built-in to iOS. You access it from Control Center.

That doesn’t work. For us to even do it on the physical remote we had to code it ourselves.

And with this remote app, we’re not sent this kind of information.
