Can't Add SMB Share

Hi all. I'm trying to access a folder of media in my iMac via SMB Share. But, I can't connect. I am able to connect to the folder no problem from other devices on my network. I get the error: session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE if I choose SMB2 (this displays as soon as I enter any character in the username field. Also, if I choose SMB3 it throws: protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_NOT_SUPPORTED if I choose SMB3.

Is this a router issue?

I assume you are importing using:
Local Content Import your existing media library into the DVR

I don't recall seeing anything about the type of SMB share when I set up imported media from my NAS. I provided the path to the SMB share. For example:
\Nas\dvr\Inported_Files\TV

I don't recall how premotions work.
